These student samples are here to not only show you what your peers before you have created, but also to reveal and convey their struggles and thought processes, and the help they sought as a step in their writing journey. Writing is a community, not an isolation ward. I hope that reading these will help you in some small way. Remember, these are not perfect, they are also not model artifacts to copy, but they are, each in their own way, works that have been agonized and sweated over by writers just like you. Reading and reflecting on other students’ work is another tool to help build your knowledge about the materials of composition.
